Stationery retailer Typo launches first UK store

Typo, the Australian stationery and gifting retailer, has opened its first UK store at the Westfield Stratford shopping centre.

The opening follows a successful online launch into the UK by the brand’s owner Cotton On Group in April. Typo now has 200 stores across the world with a presence in 12 countries. Cotton On Group is now looking for its next store location and hopes to open over 100 stores in the UK over the next five to ten years.

The new Stratford store includes the full range of Typo products including fun, quirky stationery, gifts, tech, travel and arts and craft as well as an instore product personalisation service.

All artwork is created in-house at Typo’s headquarters in Australia.

Bianca Ginns, Typo general manager, said: “We’re excited to be opening our first Typo store at Westfield Stratford in December. Since launching our e-commerce business in April, sales have exceeded our expectations and UK customers have been quick to adopt our quirky offering across our stationery, craft, tech and travel ranges.”
