Staples to host Start up Saturday courses for would-be entrepreneurs
Staples is to host the first of a government backed series of courses on setting up a business on 21 May in 7 of its stores around the country.
The Start up Saturday courses will advise people who want to strike out on their own on everything from coming up with a business idea through to writing a business plan, finance, and sales and marketing.
The courses are being run by Enterprise Nation in conjunction with training providers CragRats. They are part of the government backed Start-Up Britain campaign, developed by entrepreneurs for entrepreneurs. The campiagn aims to celebrate, inspire and accelerate enterprise in the UK and is supported by a number of leading business people including Jamie Murray Wells, founder of internet retailer Glasses Direct.
The Start up Saturday courses will run for 12 weeks and will be offered in the retailer’s stores in Sheffield, London, Telford, Milton Keynes, Gateshead, Poole and Crawley. Each session will be held on Saturday morning from 9.30- 10.30am and will cost £10 for a single session or £100 for the whole series.
