Stanley Gibbons names new chairman-elect

Collectable postage stamp retailer Stanley Gibbons has appointed Harry Wilson as chairman elect.

Wilson will succeed Martin Bralsford as chairman when he steps down towards the end of June just before or at the publication of the company’s preliminary results statement..

He has been involved with listed companies for over 20 years, having held a number of director and chairman roles. A long-time collector of stamps, he is also well-known within the industry and has a significant knowledge and interest in philately.

Bralsford said: “I am very pleased that Harry has agreed to accept the role of chairman and that we have been able to secure the services of someone with such a comprehensive understanding of our industry and marketplace. I believe that his appointment will be welcomed by our customers and staff alike as they will be reassured that an interest and knowledge of the philatelic market will remain at the core of the business.”
