Stanley Gibbons appoints new commercial and marketing directors

Collectable postage stamp retailer Stanley Gibbons has made two new appointments within its operational management team.

Peter Swanston has joined the business as group commercial director while Martin Peterlechner has been appointed as group marketing director.

Swanston was previously managing director of Samlerhuset Group, one of Europe’s largest coin companies, and has “significant” experience of digital transformation, direct to consumer marketing and internationalisation.

Meanwhile, Peterlechner has over 20 years of marketing experience having joined Stanley Gibbons from Royal London where he was head of marketing and communications. Prior to that, he was head of internet for Tesco personal finance.

The company has also announced that Noble Investments chief executive Ian Goldbart has resigned from the board. Noble was acquired by Stanley Gibbons in 2013 and was fully integrated into the company in late 2014.

In a statement Stanley Gibbons said: “The board would like to thank Ian for the time he has spent on the Stanley Gibbons Board and the contribution he has made during that time.”
