Sourced Market turns to crowd funding for new store

Artisan food company Sourced Market has embarked on a crowd funding initiative to raise money to open a second retail store in central London.

Founded in 2007, initially to provide food for music festivals, Sourced Market opened its first store at St Pancras station in 2009.

The company is now planning to open a second outlet and a revamp of the St Pancras store. To fund this next stage of growth, Sourced Market is offering members of the public the opportunity to own equity in the business by investing from as little as £25.

Depending on the size of their investment, investors will receive benefits such as free craft beer every Monday next year, Christmas hampers and catering for a party of up to 100 guests. Large investors will also be given the chance to join Sourced Market’s exclusive Food Advisors group where members get invites to scout high profile food events and discuss the business’ future with key suppliers.
