Søstrene Grene set to open its first London store this May
Danish homewares store, Søstrene Grene, has announced it will be opening its first London store on Friday 12th May at Southside shopping centre in Wandsworth.
Joining a whole host of major retailers, the store will join the brand’s eleven existing locations across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, with the eleventh store at Cheltenham also opening very soon.
The brand’s signature labyrinth store layout and Nordic inspired aesthetics will be making its way to Wandsworth as part of the business’ exciting expansion into London.
Søstrene Grene aspires to enrich everyday life with aesthetic designs, creativity, joy and ‘hygge’ – a special state of contentment, warmth and belonging. Customers can expect minimalistic, Scandinavian designs in a wide range of homewares, furniture, kitchen products, spring/summer decorations, gifting, wrapping paper, cards, hobby crafts, toys, accessories and “mini home” products for children.

UK Joint Venture partners, Norma Jacob and Richard Power, are also looking forward to opening the South London store this May. The couple already run Søstrene Grene stores across Northern Ireland, Southern England and Scotland.

The Grand Opening will see an exciting giveaway for the stores first 100 customers, who will receive a voucher for a free large, tufted rug worth £60 and a canvas goodie bag, filled with a selection of Søstrene Grene products. The voucher for the rug will be redeemable the following week. There will also be refreshments available and live classical music from a string quartet.
Southside Wandsworth will be the twelfth Søstrene Grene store to open in the UK and the very first opening in London.
Søstrene Grene has 265+ stores in 16 countries, and more continue to open.
