Like-for-like sales up 22 per cent in new look stores

Supermarket operator Somerfield has spotlighted the success of it new look stores to the City.
The UK company said that sales at refitted Somerfield store refits are achieving an initial sales uplift of 22 per cent after reopening, with like-for-like increases of 10 per cent in the second year of trading.
The figures were highlighted during a presentation on the company to City analysts and a series of store visits.
