Snappy Snaps sales rise 6.7% over Christmas period
Sales at Snappy Snaps, the photo and digital specialist, grew 6.7% year-on-year in the eight weeks leading up to Christmas.
Commenting on the results Ann Simpson, director for Snappy Snaps, said: “We have continued to see solid growth during 2011 and the Christmas sales period due to the diversity of product offering now available in store and online, despite a challenging retail climate.”
In a statement, the franchise group attributed the sales growth to its ability to embrace digital advances and adapt to the changing needs of its customers. It also pointed to the fact that many of its products are produced in-store, providing customers with fast turnaround times.
Snappy Snaps was founded in 1983, and now has more than 120 stores nationwide. Although starting primarily as a photo-developing lab, the franchise has built its operation to include a range of commercial, interior and personalised printing services catering for professional photographers and businesses as well as individual consumers.
