Smyths Toys launches festive campaign

Smyths Toys Superstores has launched a new festive advertising campaign that features some of this season’s most popular toys.

The ad sees a character called Oscar fly over a city park while transforming toys into life-sized friends through the power of imagination and a second character called Nan racing through the park in her own off-road jeep wrangler then taking Bowser’s airship into the sky and spinning into the air with Crystal Flyers.

The ad launch is supported by an integrated 360 marketing campaign that includes TV airings on ITV, Channel 4 and Sky. It also features a YouTube campaign targeting 30 million views, as well as Facebook, Instagram and influencer campaigns.

Sinead Byrne, joint head of marketing at Smyths Toys, said; “Our favourite guy Oscar is out of the store and exploring with his friends. We hope kids spot their favourite toys and it adds a bit of much needed magic and joy this Christmas!”
