Shop Direct appoints operations director
Shop Direct, the owner of Very.co.uk and Littlewoods.com, has appointed Pets at Home executive director Phil Hackney as operations director.
He will take responsibility for logistics, fulfilment and customer service when he joins the business in the new year. He will also sit on the Shop Direct executive board and report to chief executive, Alex Baldock.
Hackney joined Pets At Home in 2007 and was in charge of logistics and business systems. A graduate of Nottingham Trent University, he started his career at Boots, where he spent 12 years in logistics operations. This was followed by six years with global IT distributor Tech Data.
Baldock said: “I am delighted that Phil is joining Shop Direct. He is a logistics guru with tonnes of e-comm experience, and I am really looking forward to acting on Phil’s ideas to take our operations to the next level.”
