Sephora to launch store in Birmingham this winter

Sephora is to launch a new store at Birmingham’s Bullring this winter as part of its ongoing UK expansion.

Customers at the new store will be able to shop from a wide selection of brands spanning makeup, travel, fragrance, skincare, haircare, grooming and wellness, many of which are exclusive to Sephora. The store will also aim to offer unique retail experiences through its  beauty playground and in-store beauty services.

Sephora has recently opened a new store at Manchester’s Trafford Centre and announced upcoming launches at Newcastle’s Eldon Square and Metrocentre.

Power of listening to customers and social media demand

Sarah Boyd, managing director of Sephora UK, said: “We’ve once again harnessed the power of listening to our customers to shape our expansion plans around the UK, and the appetite that our beauty community in Birmingham made was profoundly powerful.

“The demand we have seen on social media and customer enquiries, particularly on the back of the Manchester opening and Newcastle announcements has been phenomenal, and we are thrilled to announce that we will be welcoming Birmingham customers in the iconic Bullring in winter 2024.”

Brands will include Makeup by Mario, GXVE by Gwen Stefani, Haus Labs by Lady Gaga and new brand on the block, Topicals. Customers will also be able to purchase viral products from Glossier, Rare Beauty, Kayali and Glow Recipe, as well as items from Sephora’s own brand collection.

Harry Badham, chief development and asset repositioning officer at Hammerson, said: “The signing of Sephora is another strategic milestone for Bullring, as we continue to bring new experiences to our visitors.

“This is an exciting time for Bullring and demonstrates the demand we have for prime locations and the agility with which we are repositioning our offer.”
