Selfridges appoints Nathan Herrmann as food and restaurants director

Selfridges has appointed Nathan Herrmann as its new food and restaurants director.

Herrmann, who joined the department store last year in the role of director of business planning, was previously a consultant at McKinsey where his clients included a number of major international retailers. Prior to McKinsey, he worked in strategic and business development roles at Home Retail Group.

Selfridges has also announced that it has further bolstered the food and restaurant team with the appointment of Hannah Bass as director of restaurants. Bass will take up her position in July, reporting to Herrmann and working alongside director of food Nicola Waller.

In 2013, Bass helped Richard Caring set up new restaurants Jackson + Rye and Grillshack. Prior to that, she was operations director at Chinese restaurant group Hakkasan.
