Select enters administration
27 February, 2008 | by Retail Bulletin
Value fashion chain Select has gone into administration following poor trading in the first quarter.
Select Retail blamed the move into administration on a ‘deteriorating trading performance’ since the start of the year.
Half of the 250 stores nationwide have already been sold to a managment buy out team. Administrators UHY Hacker Young said the sale had secured the full time employment of around 1,000 members of staff.
They added that the remaining Select stores would stay open in an attempt to find a buyer.
