Secret Sales strengthens leadership team to drive international growth
Secret Sales has strengthened its leadership team with the appointment of Chris Lacey as chief digital officer.
The move comes as the company accelerates its European expansion strategy.
Lacey has joined Secret Sales from Matalan where he was responsible for a large-scale digital transformation programme as director of ecommerce. Prior to that, he was digital director at the Superdry clothing brand.
In his new role, Lacey will be responsible for driving Secret Sales’ platform growth and international expansion. This will involve working closely with all departments to optimise the ecommerce platform to drive digital revenue, enhance the customer experience, and advance operations, including marketing and technology,
He will report to Chris Griffin, chief executive at Secret Sales.
Griffin said: “As we enter 2024, it’s critical for us to move quickly to keep pace with the strong appetite we’re seeing for off-price from our retailer and brand partners so we can help them expand into new European territories. This is why the time is right to strengthen our leadership team to help us deliver on our vision to positively disrupt the world of off-price.”
Secret Sales has also announced that Alex Adamson has joined its executive board as chief marketing officer. His new position will see him build out a wider marketing and digital strategy and work closely with Lacey to support Secret Sales’ growth ambitions.
