Second Cup steps up UK expansion
Canadian coffee shop chain Second Cup is stepping up its UK expansion with the opening of five new locations by the end of the summer.
The new shops in London, Cardiff and Harrow will join the existing Second Cup locations in Manchester, Birmingham and London’s Portobello Road.
Jim Ragas, president and chief executive of The Second Cup Coffee Company, said: “We are very excited about our continuous UK expansion and can’t wait for all of the new cafes to open. Growth, quality and innovation have always been at the cornerstone of our brand.”
Second Cup was founded in Toronto in 1975 and now has a presence in over 30 regions worldwide with over 160 cafes operating internationally. The company said it is actively seeking new regional franchise partners for additional area development within the UK as well as globally.
