ScS Upholstery sales drop

ScS Upholstery has said like for like sales in the first 26 weeks of the current financial period fell 9 per cent after warm weather kept customers away.

Sales order intake rose by 11 per cent from the same time a year before. When adjusted for the store openings, like for like sales order intake fell by 6 per cent for the first 18 weeks of the financial period.
The group said the two May Bank Holiday weekends are key to the final result for the 10-month period ending 31 July 2007.
“We approach the challenge with a strong balance sheet (no debt), strong cash flow generation and sustained confidence in our business model,” ScS Upholstery said.
