ScS profit to beat market expectations following strong Christmas
19 January, 2016 | by Retail Bulletin
ScS, the upholstered furniture and flooring retailer, has reported an 8.8% increase in total like-for-like order intake for the 25 weeks ended 16 January 2016.
The company said trading was strong during the peak Christmas and January sales period within both ScS and its House of Fraser concessions.
As a result, ScS expects to report profits significantly ahead of current market expectations for the year 2015/2016.
David Knight, chief executive of ScS, said: “Whilst we still have key trading periods over Easter and the two May bank holidays in the current financial year, we are delighted with the performance over the Christmas and January sales period and for the year to date.”
