Screwfix opens 250th store
Screwfix, the multi-channel tool, plumbing and electrical equipment retailer, is celebrating the opening of its 250th store.
The new store in Poole is part of the retailer’s plans to expand the brand across the UK.
It follows the launch of Screwfix’s new Click & Collect service which enables customers to check if products are in stock either online or on their mobiles then collect their purchases five minutes later from their local branch. The retailer has also introduced a new format catalogue which customers can download as an iPhone, iPad or android app.
Screwfix marketing director, John Mewett, said: “We are delighted to be celebrating another fantastic milestone for Screwfix and further shaping our presence around the UK. We look forward to continuing our rapid expansion programme and helping to make the brand even more accessible to tradesmen and DIY enthusiasts across the nation.”
