Sales up at Game

Performance in line with expectations

For the first 22 weeks to 1 July 2006, total Group sales were up by 21.1%. Like for like Group sales for the same period were up by 10.1%.
In the UK and Ireland total sales were up by 13.6% and lfl sales were up by 10.7%. In Continental Europe total sales and lfl sales were up by 49.7% and 7.8% respectively.
Game said the planned launch of the Sony PS3 and the Nintendo Wii in the run up to the Christmas trading season will benefit their second half.
