Sales rise at Ted Baker

Ted Baker, the British designer brand, has announcedva 10.7 per cent improvement in sales in its retail division for the period from 1 November 2005 to 24 December 2005 against the same period last year.

The company said the brand traded well across all collections both in the UK and overseas. Full price retail gross margins were largely in line with the levels achieved last year and the company will start the new season with a clean stock position.
Commenting on trading, Ray Kelvin, Chief Executive, said ‘We are pleased to report strong sales growth both in the UK and overseas
despite a tough retail environment. We remain committed to the international development of the Ted Baker brand and are confident of a successful outcome for the full year.’
