GENERAL MERCHANDISE NEWS

Sales rise at ScS

Like for like sales order intake was 3% up, excluding the effect of Easter falling in the 2005 comparative period.

New stores have recently opened in Wrexham, Bristol Cribbs Causeway, Mansfield and Nottingham. ScS said that all the stores are trading successfully as are the other new stores opened earlier in this financial year. 14 new stores will open in the current financial year, taking the total to 80 stores.
Steve Davies, Analyst at Numis said “ScS offers a rare combination of quality management, decent underlying growth and a store roll-out programme that still has a long way to run”.
