Sainsbury’s launches mobile version of groceries shopping website

Sainsbury’s has launched a mobile version of its online groceries shopping website to give its customers full access to Sainsbury’s 20,000 grocery products from their phones and handheld devices.

Available via any mobile device and operating system, the mobile shopping site allows customers to search for a particular item they are looking for or to browse products.

Tanya Lawler, Sainsbury’s director of digital & cross channel, said: “We launched our mobile site for non-food last year and have used the knowledge and feedback gained to produce a complete mobile shopping experience.

“Customers can now browse a full range of grocery products and shop at their convenience – or just add that pint of milk to their shop while waiting for the bus home. We’re confident that the mobile grocery shopping will be a big hit with shoppers.

“Our goal is to make our customers’ lives easier and deliver the best possible shopping experience – whether in store, at home on their computer or on the go.”
