Sainsbury’s in the spotlight at MCRS

Supermarket retailer features in keynote presentations
With Sainsbury’s rarely having been out of the media spotlight over the past year, visitors to the Multi Channel Retail Show will get a unique insight into the issues driving the supermarket operator.

On day one, Tuesday March 15, Claire Harper, head of marketing for Sainsbury Online, will be focusing on the retailer’s home shopping and online strategy. The presentation, ‘Making Sainsbury’s Great Again’, starts at 11am.
On day two, Martin White, former Sainsbury Supply Chain director, will be hosting a talk on the complexities of multi channel fulfilment. White will be using his experience working for Sainsbury’s, Booker, and US retailers to provide an insight into the issues of changing supply chains to fit a multi channel service offering.
White’s presentation, starting at 14.30 on Wednesday, March 16, will use the experience of Sainsbury’s, as well as other home shopping specialists such as Webvan and Ocado, to spotlight pitfalls & successes.
MCRS 2005 takes place at Excel, London from March 15 to 16. To register, visit http://www.theretailbulletin.com/mcrs
