Rough Trade to open seventh UK store on Soho’s Denmark Street
Rough Trade is to open a new store on London’s Denmark Street in mid-October.
Sitting alongside several musical instrument shops, the store will span two floors and will offer a huge selection vinyl across all genres. It will also stock a range of books, clothing, merchandise and limited edition one offs.
While the store will not feature a live performance space as with other Rough Trade sites, it will play host to album signings. The retailer will also work in partnership with neighbouring venues Here at The Outernet and The Lower Third to extend its existing out-store events programme.
The shop in Soho will be the brand’s seventh UK store and will be situated in a place which for music lovers has decades of musical history. Denmark Street is often described as the birthplace of the British music industry where artists such as Elton John, The Rolling Stones, Sex Pistols and David Bowie hung out, made music and lived.

Rough Trade has three other sites in east and west London as well as a shop-in-shop in Rag and Bone on Soho’s Beak Street which will be re-branded to Rough Trade Vintage. It also operates sites in Nottingham, Bristol and Liverpool.
