Reynolds to stand down as CEO of Blacks Leisure
2 May, 2012 | by Retail Bulletin
Blacks Leisure chief executive Julia Reynolds is to leave the outdoor clothing retailer following its takeover by JD Sports in January.
The Independent has reported that Reynolds will step down from the business, which also operates the Millets chain, in the “coming months” as the role of chief executive is set to change once the integration of the two businesses is complete.
Reynolds joined Blacks from Figleaves in August 2011. The company went into administration in January as it struggled with debts of £36 million and was subsequently bought by JD Sports for £20 million.
Since the takeover JD Sports has closed more than 80 of the 290 Blacks and Millets stores.
