Retailers sponsor Teenage Cancer Trust concerts at Royal Albert Hall
The Body Shop and Ben Sherman are to sponsor a series concert at the Royal Albert Hall which will raise funds for Teenage Cancer Trust, a charity which supports teenagers and young adults with cancer.
The concerts taking place in March will include performances by artists such as Paolo Nutini, OneRepublic, The Cure and Suede. There will also be an evening of comedy with Jason Manford, John Bishop, Micky Flanagan, Patrick Kielty, Rob Beckett and Hal Cruttenden.
The Body Shop is supporting as headline sponsor for the second year and will once again match donations made at the shows to a total of £30,000. The charity’s partnership with the ethical beauty retailer has been hailed as a huge success after staff and customers raised £500,000 in 2013, which was in addition to the sponsorship of the Royal Albert Hall series. This year the brand will also be gifting products to young cancer patients and artists.
Menswear lifestyle brand Ben Sherman and real estate investment trust Derwent London have become Associate Sponsors while American Airlines will be supporting the shows for their sixth year. NME and Xfm continue as media partners and are this year joined by Metro.
