Ralph Lauren names Christopher Peterson as new CFO
Ralph Lauren, the US lifestyle and fashion brand, has named Christopher Peterson as its chief financial officer.
Peterson replaces Tracey Travis who left the company to become CFO at makeup and skin care company Estee Lauder.
Reporting to president and chief operating officer Roger Farah, Peterson will take up his new role in September and will be responsible for the Ralph Lauren’s global finance and information technology organisations. He will also assume the title of senior vice president.
Over the past 20 years Peterson has held corporate and operational positions with Procter & Gamble. His most recent role was chief financial officer of Procter & Gamble’s household care division.
Commenting on the appointment Farah said: “We are excited to welcome Chris to our senior team. With 25 years of broad-based, global financial and operational experience with some of the world’s most well-known brands, he has a demonstrated track record of disciplined leadership. He will be a strong partner as we continue to execute our long-term strategic growth objectives.”
