Radley like-for-like sales up 11% in run-up to Christmas

Premium handbag brand Radley has reported an 11% increase in like-for-like sales in the two months to end December.

This follows like-for-like growth of 16% in the same period in 2013.

Radley saw strong traffic growth throughout November and December particularly to its e-commerce store where sales spiked during cyber weekend. The company attributed its success to a focus on customer service, an extensive gift collection and the launch of its new handbag personalisation service.

Radley chief executive Xavier Simonet said: “I am pleased to announce another strong Christmas trading performance at Radley despite an increasingly challenging and competitive retail environment. In 2015 we are looking forward to continued growth in the UK as well as internationally which remains a key focus for 2015.”
