QVC Beauty launches on Freeview
QVC Beauty, the dedicated TV shopping channel for beauty products, is making a bid to increase its share of viewers by launching on Freeview. The move will result in a further 10.8 million homes being able to tune in to the show.
The channel, which launched on Sky in October 2010, will broadcast one hour programmes between 8am and 1pm each day and offer a range of brand name products including L’Occitane, Elemis, Bobbi Brown and Décleor.
Dermot Boyd, CEO of QVC UK said: “QVC Beauty experienced year-on-year sales growth of 407% in Q4/2010, demonstrating the demand for a channel dedicated to premium beauty products.”
He added: “Through Freeview an even wider audience will now be able to watch and learn about the latest beauty products and trends from our broad range of beauty vendors.”
