Queensgate unveils 11,000 square feet of new deals
The Queensgate shopping centre in Peterborough has announced a raft of new signings and upsizes totalling almost 11,000 square feet.
Fatface, the lifestyle fashion brand, has taken a larger 3,000 square foot store adjacent to Superdry and Office, while stationery brand Paperchase is also relocating to a bigger, 2,000 square foot store next to the new FatFace.
Robert Moore, acquisitions manager at FatFace, said: “We are delighted with the imminent move across the mall which provides us with the opportunity to deliver an improved store environment and twice the current range for the benefit of our loyal customers.”
There are also three new additions to the shopping centre’s line-up. Jeweller Fraser Hart is to open its first store in the region in Queensgate by launching a 1,714 square foot flagship next to Monsoon. In addition, Menkind has taken a 1,889 square foot permanent store on the first floor adjacent to River Island, while jeweller F Hinds has signed for a 1,183 square foot store on East Square.
All five brands will open their new stores in the autumn.
Since Invesco Real Estate bought Queensgate and Lendlease took over the asset management 15 months ago, 13 brands have taken space in Queensgate.
Guy Thomas, head of retail asset management at Lendlease, said: “These latest brands are great additions to Queensgate. The upsizing of FatFace and Paperchase reaffirms the centre’s success, and both brands will now be able to offer customers an improved range. The three new brands are a great complement too, adding to our critical mass of premium and high street brands.“
