Queensgate reveals new H&M regional store and welcomes Hotel Chocolat
High street fashion brand H&M is to open a 35,000 square foot regional flagship as part of plans to upsize at the Queensgate shopping centre in Peterborough.
The new store, situated on the West Mall, opposite to John Lewis on the upper level, has relocated following a strong performance from the existing Queensgate store. The new H&M will open on 28 July.
H&M’s upsize incorporates an additional 3,000 square feet of space. The larger area will showcase H&M’s full product range and will also feature its latest collaborations with artists such as M.I.A.
The news follows the announcement that chocolatier Hotel Chocolat is to open a 1,400 square foot store in Queensgate. Due to launch in August 2016, Hotel Chocolat is located on Queensgate’s East Mall, opposite Pandora and The Perfume Shop.
Peter Harris, co-founder of Hotel Chocolat, said: “We are delighted to extend our presence amongst the impressive retail line-up at Queensgate. The continually strong performance of this regional destination, coupled with continued investment in the centre, made this the ideal location for our next store.”
Guy Thomas, head of retail asset management at Lendlease, said: “We are pleased to welcome Hotel Chocolat to the retail line up, while the upsizing of H&M will deliver an improved regional flagship store offering a full range for the benefit of our customers.”
