Queensgate names new centre director

The Queensgate shopping centre in Peterborough has appointed a new centre director.

Mark Broadhead has joined the centre from The Mall Group where he was general manager of The Mall in Luton, and prior to that worked at The Mall in Barnsley.

Before joining The Mall Group in 2005, Broadhead was a general manager at Matalan, and head of retail operations for Greenwich Group.

The Queensgate shopping centre is owned by a fund managed by Invesco Real Estate and is managed by Lend Lease with Jones Lang LaSalle acting as property managers. Anchored by John Lewis and Primark, the centre is home to over 90 retail outlets.

Claire Yeadon, asset manager at Lendlease, said: “Mark Broadhead is an excellent choice for Queensgate and comes to the role with a wealth of knowledge and an impressive set of achievements within the industry.

“We are confident he will be a great leader of the Queensgate team, helping to grow the centre from an already strong position, reinforcing its status as one of the leading shopping destinations in the region.”
