Procook like-for-like sales surge by 27%

Kitchenware retailer ProCook has seen its like-for-like sales surge by 27% in its first quarter.

The company which has 22 stores nationwide, attributed much of the increase to improving consumer confidence.

ProCook started life as a small, family-run business and is still owned and operated by managing director Daniel O’Neill.

O’Neill said: “We’ve seen better performance in all areas of the business with more customers coming through the doors and spending more when they do. Consumer confidence seems to be sky high and that’s got to be due to people having a bit more money in their pockets.”

Steve Sanders, ProCook’s recently appointed chief executive, added: “ProCook is rooted in developing and retailing excellent products at competitive prices to give customers real value. It’s great to see a lot of hard work right across the business translating into very encouraging Q1 figures.”
