Primark opens first Cornwall store

Primark has opened its first store in Cornwall at Lemon Quay in Truro.

The store, which will create 187 jobs, has two floors of fashion spanning over 34,400 square feet of retail space.

The opening brings the number of Primark stores in the UK to 174 and 321 for the company.

Simon Gibbs, Primark’s director of sales UK, said: “We are delighted to open a new store in Truro. This is an important opening for Primark and we look forward to expanding our footprint and bringing the Primark brand to more customers.”

The store’s design and layout builds on Primark’s latest contemporary shop fit concept. The ‘back of house’ area has been designed to feel like a “home away from home” for employees and includes free Wi-Fi, a ‘Recharge café’, a fully equipped kitchen area, and bright décor.
