Price-drop.tv launches store chain
Pilot store finds success at Galleria Outlet Centre
Price-drop.tv, the TV shopping channel, has launched the first of a chain of retail outlets with a successful pilot store at the Galleria Outlet Centre in Hatfield.
Launched in 2003, Price-drop.tv broadcasts 17 hours a day to over 12m homes in the UK. The retail approach in the price-drop.tv store is exactly as viewers see for the merchandise featured on television.
Products go on sale at an initial reduction to RRP and the price drops every day thereafter. Customers have to choose to buy at the initial price or take the chance that it will still be there in a few days time at a lower price.
Glenn Matchett, head of broadcast and marketing for Price-drop.tv said: “We opened our pilot store at the Galleria which has proved to be an outstanding success. Our sales there have confirmed that we have the ability to have a successful outlet shopping centre presence.
“The Galleria has proved the perfect match – not only because it is the closest major outlet centre to London, but because it also puts us in with a number of other major brand retailers and because it meets our corporate requirement to locate in destinations for those seeking significant bargains.”
