Poundstretcher boosts leadership team with new appointments
Poundstretcher has announced a series of high profile appointments across its commercial and store operations teams as it gears up for future growth.
Miles Foster (pictured), who brings 35 years of experience from Morrisons, has been hired as group operations director. Reporting directly to chief executive Andy Atkinson, Foster will lead the operations of over 300 stores and be part of the executive team.
Supporting Foster is Liz Harris, a former consultant and head of loss prevention at Morrisons, who will take charge of the retail operations team. She will be joined by Annette Beecham, who has experience from Home Bargains and B&M, as well as Mandy Fitzpatrick, formerly of Poundland and Dealz.
The company has also bolstered its trading team by appointing Tony Fearon as group commercial director. Fearon has previously held roles at Boots, Booker and Morrisons working across FMCG, fresh, and general merchandise buying. Joining him are Kyle Storey and Connor Black, who will head up trading for FMCG and pet products, respectively.
Additionally, Poundstretcher has appointed three new area managers including Tim Dearing, Simon Smith and James MacTavish.
Poundstretcher chief executive Andy Atkinson said: “As we embark on this significant journey, I am thrilled to welcome such a talented group of leaders to our team. They are some of the best in the industry, sharing our commitment to supporting colleagues and prioritizing customer needs. We are excited about the future and the growth opportunities that lie ahead for Poundstretcher.”
