Poundland launches mobile app

Single price discount retailer Poundland has launched a mobile app for iphone and android smart phones.

Poundland’s ‘free to download’ app will update shoppers on the retailer’s ‘WOW offers’ such as 2 for £1, 3 for £1 or buy one get one free, as well as information on top brands available and promotions on seasonal product ranges. It also features a store locator with a street view option to guide customers to their nearest Poundland store.

Jim McCarthy, CEO at Poundland said: “Household budgets continue to be squeezed and more and more people are now taking the time to shop around to ensure they save money. We wanted to provide our customers with an app to make it easy for them to see what bargains they can find in store, as well as attracting new customers into our store.

“We feel our customers will welcome our tool and we hope it helps families to save even more each week on household essentials and affordable treats.”
