Poundland completes roll out of contactless payment and Apple Pay in UK and Irish stores

Poundland has completed a significant technology rollout which has enabled all of its UK and Ireland stores to accept payment by contactless and Apple Pay.

The company said over a quarter of all card payment transactions are now contactless reflecting customers’ appetite for the payment option.

Mike Gray, Poundland IT director, said: “We continue to listen to our customers and invest in new solutions to make the Poundland customer experience an enjoyable one. We are delighted that so many of our customers have adopted contactless and are now benefiting from a faster checkout experience.”
