Pets at Home names new chief executive
Pets at Home has hired Lyssa McGowan as group chief executive to succeed Peter Pritchard, who announced back in November that he would be stepping down this summer..
She will take up her role on 1 June, although she will will be appointed to the board as chief executive designate on 25 April.
McGowan is the outgoing chief consumer officer at Sky UK where she is responsible for a business serving more than 10 million customers and achieving over $10 billion worth of revenue. She has been credited with leading numerous business units to growth within Sky, both organically and through M&A.
She was also recently a non-executive director of the Morrisons supermarket chain until its sale to CD&R.
