Peloton introduces UK rental service following slowdown in sales

Peloton has introduced a rental service for its high-tech exercise bikes in the UK following the launch of its Peloton Rental offering in the US, Canada and Germany.

The move will allow UK consumers to rent one of its Bike+ models commitment-free for a monthly cost of £99 and a one-off joining fee of £200.

In return for their monthly payment, customers will also be able to access instructor-led fitness and wellness classes live and on-demand, including cycling, strength, running, yoga, meditation, and outdoor content.

Amanda Gilmore, UK general manager for Peloton said: “With Brits seeking choice, Peloton Rental is an ideal way to experiment with a new fitness routine. With expert Instructors, a diverse catalogue of music, 16 fitness modalities, and a member community by your side when you need it, Peloton Rental introduces the most motivating way to achieve your fitness goals.”

Peloton has seen reduced demand for sales of its bikes since the end of Covid-19 lockdowns.
