Peel Outlets reports rise in sales and footfall
New figures from Peel Outlets, the owner of the Gloucester Quays and Lowry outlet centres, have revealed a surge in footfall and sales.
In the financial year to date, Peel Outlets has reported a 11.3% rise in footfall and a 12.29% increase in sales across the two centres which house stores such as Molton Brown, All Saints, Calvin Klein, Clarks, M&S Outlet and Gap Outlet.
Peel Outlets marketing director, Alison Tennant, said: “Our outlets offer stunning waterfront locations, which has great appeal to shoppers who are looking to enjoy a day of retail therapy without the crush of the high street. We’re also positioned next to some of the UK’s leading cultural attractions, such as The Lowry Theatre & Art Galleries, Imperial War Museum North and Gloucester Waterway Museum.”
“While high street stores have suffered the worst summer in six years, our footfall and sales figures continue to rise year on year, which is a very exciting prospect for the future.“
Peel Outlets said it expects to announce a raft of news signings over the coming months.
