Peel Outlets reports healthy footfall and sales growth
Peel Outlets enjoyed record footfall and sales at its outlet centres in the run-up to Christmas.
The group’s Lowry Outlet in Manchester and Gloucester Quays centre in Gloucester saw combined year-on-year footfall growth of 9.5% pre-Christmas with sales up 16.3% on the same period in 2012.
The Christmas results, the best-ever for the two outlets, were the culmination of a year of successful trading for Peel Outlets. Sales rose by 6.65% in 2013 while footfall edged up 3.1%.
Jason Pullen, managing director of Peel Outlets, said: “Peel Outlets is receiving unprecedented interest from retailers attracted to our urban outlets model that is being successfully rolled out at Gloucester Quays and at The Lowry. We anticipate continued customer growth at both centres during 2014 both due to the arrival of new branded fashion and other retailers and development such as with the leisure quarter at Gloucester Quays and our other general asset management programmes.”
