Paul Dimond and Beverley Aspinall to lead transformation of Bond Street

New West End Company, the body representing the interests of the London shopping districts of Bond Street, Oxford Street and Regent Street, has announced two key appointments to lead the newly formed Bond Street Retail Group.

Paul Dimond, deputy chairman of DAKS Simpson Group, will take on the role of interim chairman while Beverley Aspinall, former managing director of Fortnum and Mason, will become interim managing director.

The Bond Street Retail Group will work closely with Westminster City Council and Transport for London to manage a programme of work which aims to transform the public spaces of Bond Street including the upgrade of carriageways and paving. The group will also oversee new investment into the area to attract an increase in spending from high net worth and luxury visitors, and help shape the future of the district.

Dimond and Aspinall will lead a transitional management team made up of senior directors from Bond Street’s leading luxury retailers and will work with funding partner New West End Company to develop and implement a five-year plan for the area.
