Parents vote for Kiddicare

Kiddicare has been voted top of the shops by parents at the prestigious annual Mother and Baby awards ceremony.

Winning a triple accolade, Kiddicare took  home the awards for Best Nursery Retailer and Best Online Retailer, as voted for by Mother and Baby readers, and Best Nursery Product, tested by Mother and Baby’s team of mums.

Kiddicare achieved the top prize in the category for Best Nursery Retailer. The 60,000sq ft superstore in Peterborough, combined with the company’s impressive e-commerce site, secured them the gold award in the most prestigious accolade of the evening. Offering customers hundreds of high quality products to choose from, readily available advice from trained nursery experts and tailor-made services, parents voted Kiddicare the number one place to shop for all your baby’s essentials.

Following the launch of various innovative and exciting services to the website, Kiddicare were awarded Best Online Retailer for the second year running.
In the last three months, Kiddicare has launched a new interactive online Community, which allows customers to share feedback, questions and reviews on a dedicated members’ forum that has now accrued over 4,500 members.

To help Kiddicare shoppers make fully informed purchases, previous customers can post product reviews to the site. To date the site hosts more than 85,000 reviews. Most recently Kiddicare.com has added a facility whereby customers can post video reviews to the site, allowing users to see the products in action, before they buy. These are in addition to Kiddicare.com’s 2,500 product demonstration videos, designed to give customers a full visual guide to the features and usability of products available on the site.

Kiddicare shoppers also enjoy next day standard delivery service on all orders, free for customers spending over £29.99, with a one-hour delivery slot.

Kiddicare.com has recently introduced a 365 day returns policy which allows customers to change their mind, up to 365 days after purchase. Consumers can now get a full refund up to one year after purchasing, provided the product is returned unused and in its original packaging.

Finally, achieving top marks for product design, the Kiddicare Splash Changing Unit won the award for Best Nursery Product.

Elaine Weavers Wright, partner of Kiddicare commented: “Three Mother and Baby Gold awards means so much to Kiddicare. We are absolutely thrilled that the store and our products were voted so highly this year. Kiddicare has continued to move from strength to strength in 2010 and we are delighted that this has been recognised and congratulated by those who really matter. We want to say a huge thank you to the most important people of all, the Mother and Baby readers who voted for us and our loyal customers at Kiddicare.”

Simon Harrow, Technology Officer at Kiddicare, will be speaking at The Retail Bulletin’s Multichannel Summit 2011. For further information or to register for the event, go to: www.retailbulletinconferences.com/multichannel2011.
