Pandora reports strong UK sales growth

Jewellery brand Pandora grew its UK revenue by 30% in the first quarter of its financial year.

The company said its new collections had been well received and that its charms continued to perform well despite the company developing other categories such as rings and earrings to provide a full jewellery offering.

Pandora has added 40 new concept stores since the first quarter of 2015 and now has 200 in the UK.

Online growth now accounts for 10% of UK revenue.

Peter Andersen, president of Pandora UK, said: “2016 has begun incredibly positively and we are thrilled to have just opened our 200th store in the UK – which represents another milestone for the brand.

“Our strategy continues to be focused on providing the very best product at affordable prices – and for the focus to not purely be charms – but other jewellery categories too.

“This year will not only see us open new production facilities in Chiang Mai to meet product demand, but we will also continue to open new stores – both globally and in the UK – thus reaching areas where we don’t yet have a presence.”
