Original Penguin to open second Scottish store
Menswear brand Original Penguin is to open its second Scottish store at the Silverburn shopping centre in Glasgow.
The brand has taken a 1,205 square foot site adjacent to Debenhams at the Hammerson operated centre. The store will open this month.
Francisco Hoffmann, managing director of Original Penguin’s parent company Perry Ellis Europe, said: “Silverburn is perfect for our first store in the Glasgow region, and only our second in Scotland. Original Penguin has a loyal following in Glasgow and we want the opportunity to display the entire lifestyle collections. We bring something new and exciting to Silverburn that complements the existing retail and leisure offering.”
David O’Neil, leasing executive at Hammerson, added: “The brand is a key addition to the already excellent retailing experience that Silverburn provides. Original Penguin will drive footfall and joins a significant list of well-known brands in selecting Silverburn for new stores.”
