Office urges customers to change their passwords after website security breach
Footwear retailer Office has apologised to customers and urged them to change their passwords after its website was targeted by hackers.
The company said no credit card, debit card, PayPal or bank details were compromised and that the data breach only affected customers whose accounts were created before August 2013.
However, the address, birth dates and login details of some customers were stolen.
Office chief executive Brian McCluskey said: “I can confirm that the Office website has been the subject of a security breach.

“Our customers remain our number one priority and we are taking all necessary measures to ensure that our website remains secure.”
The hack comes just a few days after eBay suffered a data breach that resulted in all customers being told to change their passwords.
