Nougat London goes into adminstration

Fashion brand Nougat London has called in administrators after suffering a downturn in trade.

Founded in 1990 as a fashion label in London’s West End, Nougat trades under the brand names of Nougat, Havren, Nougat Bath and Body and NGT for Men. It sells its fashion clothing and toiletry ranges online and through concessions in big department stores.

Administrators from Zolfo Cooper said Nougat had been impacted by a “downturn in trade amid challenging market conditions”.  It will continue to trade while the administrators explore options for the sale of all or part of the business.

Claire Winder, director at Zolfo Cooper, said: “We have reviewed the options for the company with the directors and, unfortunately, poor trading performance means that the business is not able to continue trading in its current form. The administration will provide some time to allow a sale process to be undertaken. Nougat and Havren are strong brands and we expect there to be considerable interest in acquiring them.”
