Northern Ireland’s Springhill to welcome three new stores
The Springhill Shopping Park in Bangor will see Sports Direct open a new two-storey superstore this month. The existing store currently houses both Sports Direct and Heaton Sports and will undergo significant refurbishment to become one of the largest Sports Direct stores in Northern Ireland.
Costa Coffee and Subway are also preparing to open their doors at Springhill Shopping Park in the autumn, each taking 1,800 square foot sites.
Ryan Kee, retail director at commercial property agent Lambert Smith Hampton, said: “This park is home to a unique mix of retailers, from fashion, sports and bargain retailers, to well-being outlets and a selection of food offerings. We have secured these tenants on the back of a strong existing line up and plan to work closely with them going forwards to attract new customers to the park.”
The new retailer line up, coupled with the landlord’s forthcoming enhancement plans, is expected to drive footfall in excess of the 175,000 cars that currently enter the park every month.
James Charlesworth, asset manager at Savills Investment Management, added: “We are delighted to welcome Sports Direct, Costa Coffee and Subway to Springhill Retail Park. The arrival and expansion of these tenants reflects our shared vision and commitment to creating a best-in-class shopping experience for all customers.”
