Norman Pickavance to leave Morrisons

Morrisons has announced that Norman Pickavance, its group HR and communications director, is to leave the supermarket in June.

Pickavance is leaving to “to pursue opportunities outside of Morrisons” after five years in the role.

Karen Caddick has been appointed human resources director. She joined Morrisons in February from Spirit Group. Richard Taylor, Morrisons director of corporate affairs and communications, will now assume responsibility for internal communications and events.

Chief executive Dalton Philips said: “Norman has been pivotal in making Morrisons an award winning employer. He has transformed our HR function and has been a great advocate for developing people from all backgrounds across the business.”

Philips added: “We are delighted Karen is stepping up to a wider HR role. She has a great track record and will drive our HR strategy forward.”
